I read somewhere recently that the best way to get the first novel published is to write the second! That’s an excellent idea. I have got a few plans on a theme. I need to get cracking on it soon.
A few actions ahead, based on my experience with the first effort:
- Keep brushing up on the first. There’s always room for improvement.
- Keep sending queries. Someone out there could well like your work.
- Keep an eye on the market for the kind of writing you do. If you want to sell your work, that is!
- Keep stashing away your learnings- that’s the best way to profit from experience.
Excuse me, I need to roll up my sleeves and get right down to- beginning my second novel.
