Acknowledging NaNoWriMo

If you have been through the site or the Facebook Page for “It Can’t Be You”, you would know that it stemmed from my debut effort in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November 2009. Here is what I wrote in the Acknowledgements for the novel……

“Wishes remain wishes if no catalyst translates them to purposeful actions. My wish to write found the right catalyst in the National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo 2009 gave me the impetus to get down to it and write 50,000 words which formed the bedrock of this, my debut novel. I am grateful to the many donors and organisers of NaNoWriMo for providing such a wonderful platform to demonstrate my interest in writing.”
