Yes, you have the hero and the heroine and a few other supporting characters. But what about the minor characters, who make relatively smaller appearances but do add to the flavour of your story?
In It Can’t Be You, I have attempted to give more focus on the minor characters. I feel they are the ones who quietly add to the realism of a story. Some of these include: Belli’s friend, Reggie Rege; Elena’s boss, Herr Brownlitz, The social worker who counsels Pritam, Priya-tai Mavalankar, Post Master Hanumiah, Pritam’s friend Mukesh’s father and the unnamed old man in Shefali’s apartment block who is enthralled by the lady in a blue sari:)
