What Caught My Attention

Today I write about a few blog posts that caught my attention. They were informative to me and added to my knowledge and perspective on topics I would like to follow. The first one was an interview with  Barry Eisler in the New York Observer. Mr. Eisler speaks of how he views the future of publishing. He’s the guy who walked away from a six-figure book contract with St.Martin’s Press to opt for Amazon’s thriller imprint, Thomas and Mercer. Mr. Eisler’s book ‘The Detachment” has sold more on Amazon than any of his previous books published through traditional publishers.

The new web site for NaNoWriMo caught my attention. At the risk of repetition, let me remind you the the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) 2011 takes off on November 1. The new site is ready with many different features. You might like to explore the site if you plan to do NaNoWriMo this year.

A bit of tongue in cheek, a bit of serious stuff but well worth a read! Have a look at Mike Fook’s “50 Reasons E-Books Are Better”.
