Today, exactly 50 years after that fateful day in 1962 when Chinese troops entered Indian territory, here are my thoughts, obviously gathered later after a lot of reading on the subject, through Col. Belliappa in “It Can’t Be You”. Continue reading “Don’t Forget The Heroes of 1962!”

In the process of consolidating material about my books in this one place, I thought I would share a video of the launch of my debut novel in November 2010. It was one of the happiest days of my life. “It Can’t Be You” was launched at Crossword, Bangalore by my old friend, Subroto Bagchi. I must thank my young friend, Sudeep Nayak for having taken the trouble to create this video.
My aim is to consolidate as much as I can about my books, published and to be published, in one place. Many readers, especially the newer ones may not have seen the reviews for my debut novel “It Can’t Be You”, a psychological thriller. I am putting together some links for your convenience. You can read the reviews at leisure.

My debut novel, a psychological thriller called , “It Can’t Be You” was published in November 2009. It was based on a story I wrote for NaNoWriMo in 2oo9. One of the proudest moments in my life was when I found the book listed under “Suspense” in the popular on-line book store, Flipkart.
On March 20, 2011, it was ranked 33 out of 17,400 titles in the “Suspense” category. More importantly, I was proud to see the authors whose titles figures in Ranks 21 to 40 included:- Ruskin Bond, David Baldacci, Stephen King, Robert Ludlum, John Grisham, Robin Cook, Lee Child, Dean Koontz, James Patterson, John Le Carre, Prem Rao, Harlen Coben, Greg Isles, Mario Puzo, and Daniel Silva.
Here’s a confession. The titles of my writing work have come to me as flashes of instinct. They have not come as a result of long hours of torturous thought on the pros and cons of each title. Continue reading “Book Titles”
