If you want to hone your writing skills and take part in a short story competition, here’s one that sounds interesting. You can aim to win the New Rose Short Story Prize 2011.
There is no entry fee and your short story can be in any genre. The last date for submitting your entry is Wednesday, August 31. The story should not exceed 2500 words. The judges, Jamie Guiney, Ruth Saberton and Miranda Dickinson are well known writers and this makes the competition that much more interesting.
